amp draw of servos

I am getting 6x PowerHD-1501MG, spec 236 oz-in. at 6.0v, servos for my next plane... they are metal geared analog... what is the max current that I would draw on my pack? how do I calculate this? will it draw more than 6A?

Hi!
Those are not that good servos! Lots of play in brass gearbox after a while.

The servo amp draw will depend on the installation. The only way to determine, is to measure after you have everything hooked up and working. Each installation will be different. Surface size, weight, linkage drag, hinge installation, etc all affect the load on the servo.

RE: amp draw of servos

ok I got specs from powerHD... its at stall torque 3200mah.... at full usage full throws per servo... so I think I will have to get a Life4PO pack 20C or so as receiver pack... this was where I was getting at... wanted to know what pack to get... I know those are absolute worse case scenario... but better to be safe...
