RE: quadra q52 sparkplug gap
Set plug gap to .025", magneto gap to .015 ( the thickness of a business card) I'm assuming it is a magneto and not electronic ignition. Prop size is ok...20/10, 22/8. There is no "carb spec". Start at 1-1/2 turns on each and tune richer or leaner to suit. When you say it misses, will it rev up or just sound "flat". If it's too rich it will sound "burbly". Make sure plug wire cap is securely on the plug.

Been awhile since I ran a 52 but should swing a 20/10 6500-7300 in that range.

RE: quadra q52 sparkplug gap
Not a lot. The NGK BPMR6A is a replacement for either. The "7" or "8" designates the heat range, so the 8 is a cooler running plug than the 7. If you are getting crud, get a hotter plug. If you are overheating, get a cooler plug.
