Jefco Aeromodlers in Denver is a very large club & someone there may be able to help you find someone in the area you are moving to. Max H. :)

RE: Moving to Colorado, Help please.

I checked the AMA website using the zipcode for Vail and I'm afraid there's not much up there. There is one club some 35 miles from Vail but the others are all on the front range some 60-80 miles away. I'm in 2 of those, Boulder Aeromodelers and Longmont. You would be more than welcome at either but they are in the 65-80 mile range. I guess the terrain up in Vail just isn't amenable to areas suitable for R/C. I wish you good luck and I'm sorry I couldn't come up with anything close.

I have to agree with you about the terrain. I was hoping that maybe at least one person from that area flys and would get this post by finding it or word of mouth.
Are your flying sites easy to find? Is there a website with the dates times? I wouldn't mind visiting, always good to meet others.

Thanks for your help.

Ace
