11th Annual Central Kansas Heli Fun Fly - Apr. 27-29, '07
 

April 27-29, 2007. Farnum Creek Park, Milford Lake, Kansas.

Gearing up to start our second decade with a bang! Three days of open flying in our great flying field, near Milford Lake, Kansas. Bring your tent, bring your RV. Park it or pitch it at our field (no hook ups), or park it at the campground next door.

I am contacting the normal sponsors, and looking for some new ones. I'll publish here the prizes confirmed for this event.

As it happenned last year, this year we again have a conflicting event in the city. Cabelas decided to have their fishing tournament the same weekend as the helicopter fun fly. If you are not going to camp in the campground, or if you don't have a self sustaining RV to park at our field, I suggest that you get your hotel room reservations done pretty quickly.

We are on the last stretch! I just checked the weather and it seems that the weekend is going to be great! Lots of sunshine and very little wind.

I just got off the phone with a flying buddy, apparently I have not published the registration fee for this year.

$10 registration fee will give you a free lunch on Saturday.

Dinner is open, to go whereever you want. I will have a list of restaurants in the area if you need help. My wife and flying buddies are going to make up our minds during saturday, on where we want to go. You are more than welcome to accompany us.

The weather seems to be cooperating this time.

I would like to thank everybody that came over and spent the weekend with Lizzie, me and the club members at the club field. Lizzie could not stop talking on how much fun she had all day long.

For those of you present, thanks for renewing my drive to make this even as fun and enjoyable as possible. Last year was kind of a downer, because of the storms, but this year was a blast and I had a great time.

I hope to see you all again during the year in the rest of the events around the area. and hopefully see you all again for next year.

If any one of you took pictures during the fun fly and do not mind sharing them with me (I was too busy having fun) I would like to have a few to publish them on our website, my gallery, and use them for next year promotional purposes...
