RE: Parafoils
Would this work for a large Sky diver.
Chuck
Here is the scenario. If anyone would like to aid in making this a reality let me know, also , if anyone knows how to get grant money please contact me off forum.
I was at a local fullscale?? Skydive field and my brother in law was tandem jumping. I got to thinking how fortunate we are to be able to experience this extreme sports if we care to and how we might be able to simulate a similiar experience.
How to accomplish this:
One Large Skydiver that can carry a FPV system in the head position. This transmits to a pair of goggles that the person who might be handicapped or just plain scared of jumping out of a plane.
The goggles will be fitted with an accelerometer(?) that moves the skydivers head in all directions allowing them to experience the view.
We can setup the ability to simulate the steering overhead fairly easily with a little woodwork or let them fly using the transmitter or have an expereinced pilot fly the Skydiver and they are just a passenger.
One plane that is capable of carrying said skydiver.
With the proper coordination this could be accomplished at a skydiving location.

RE: Parafoils
I think this can work. The CG of the diver must be set correct or you might get the head to heavy and start tumbling. But that is all part of the fun. I will surely look into this.
How about a wing-suit? Just work out the steering.
Thanks and go for it.
