Skydive FPV?
Anybody put an FPV system in their diver? Think about it -- how cool to fly yourself first person to 100 points! This would be an excellent utilization of the tech. Probably have to make a thicker body to accommodate everything.

Greg,
One of the guys in my club has a small FPV that would fit on a jumper. The only downside is I can't use the goggles as they don't fit over glasses. We are working on trying to use some type of computer screen to view the flight. Juan |

Horizon Hobby has an FPV micro system that might work, but I wonder about its range. I really need advice from guys experienced in FPV. So many systems out there. Greg Common Core Math: If you have 7 pencils and 4 apples, how many pancakes will fit on the roof? Ans: Purple, because aliens don't wear hats. (thanks original poster) |
Greg,
I checked on that system and according to my local hobby shop owner. It only has a range of 60 to 80 feet. I know what you mean about all the different FPV systems out there. Juan |
Hi, Greg
Wil talked about trying that at the last meet, I also know someone else that said they were going to try it. So far I haven't herd any results. I have seen some footage, but don't know if it was FPV or just a camera mounted on the diver. |
Sound like a great project. I have a fat shark set up just sitting in thee shop. I will let everyone know how it turns out. Gary we can test it out at Joe Nalls.

Super! Please post video if you can.

While attending the 33rd International RC Para Trophy I held a jumper in my hands with FPV system on it in Lohne, Germany with 3 axis camera mount. Will try to contact owner and see if we could get a video link.
