Default Looking for a good engine

I don't pay much attention to what's new in the world of nitro engines, but I traded a plane of mine for an Associated RC8 from a friend. However, it has no engine. It's in almost new condition other than missing the engine, and I'd like some suggestions for high end powerful engines for this truck.

Less than $400 would be nice.

Clocked O.S V-SPEC at $389 is a good engine. That price is great and that engine will deffinatly put a smile on your face.

The Fire 11 is much superior to the V-Spec in terms of power,RPM And longevity !

For a sensibly priced buggy engine with a great reputation, I personally would go with a Werks B6 (or even B5 for more grunt.. - and less money..) with 2058 pipe and a couple of plugs, and leave 50 bucks in the bank..

But yeah, there are tons of good options - including pipe for under €400.. Argus, Alpha(Z852 or S852), Go GXII, Orion, Werks B5 or B6(or even B2 for short tracks..), OS XZ-B, Arrow, a cheaper Novarossi or RB...

or my modified Argus... $225.00 and more powerful then anything you could buy stock off the shelf at any price......

if you go alpha, i would only look at the Z852, F850 or A872 for buggy ... the S852 or A852 is a lot of power def if you are new to it. IMHO you just cant beat the Z852 or F850 in buggy, tons of power and great run time and will last forever. we get 8+ gallons out of these engines easy.

Hey Ishan, I'll throw my 2 cents in here.

Just PM supertib and tell him what you're looking for and ask him for suggestions.

I have one of his motors and it rocks! On top of that, he's not out to sk$3w you. He doesn't have clients, he has relationships and friends.

Thats true, of all the people who mod (tune) engines this guy (Supertib) has to be on the top of the world.
Take what he says as gospel.

By the way, Hi Tommygun.

I think just about everyone has heard or seen one of Supetib's engines. I must say that he does incredible work, arguably the best engine modder out there.

I might add that RB engines IMO have always had a reputation of great longevity and reliability, although I had one that gave me a little problems but I resolved the issue, I've been using RB engines for over 12 years now.
