No Traxxas that is for sure. I picked up a Ofna Ultra that has maybe a 1hr run time on it, it has a force 28 with real good compression,
now I know this is not the best engine, but I'll run it till it gives out. The engine is a little slugish on the bottom end but real good on mid
to upper rpm's, I have been at rc's for a long time and the engine is tuned, just looking for some ideas on a decent pipe.

I would look for a used 053 on ebay, or maybe also an RTR Losi buggy or truggy pipe - the "HD" pipe I think it's called... Good and cheap..

053 kills power, makes it smooth... look at a JP3, when ever you need power, JP3 is the pipe. run time wont be as good as 053 though....

just my opinion

what kind of clutch does it have ? and how high do you have the idle set ? 2 things that will kill your bottom end are the RTR clutch and having the idle set too high..........buying a new pipe wont fix your lack of bottom if your idle is too high and the clutch is fading

The stock ultra pipe is just a straight through pipe and is extremely loud,

I fitted an ofna 053 pipe to my ofna buggy with the force 28 motor and power is greatly improved,

Excellent bottom and midrange power over the stock pipe.

I had an 053 on a Caster Grenade(Go 5-port) and it gave great bottom end - almost too much like a light-switch.. Was great on that engine.. Top end was great too as a matter of fact..

Lots of people over the years though have said the 053 is good for Machs and LRP's, but when I tried it on both those engines I thought it killed top end... I always thought it was more of a bottom to mid type pipe...

The clutch is like new three shoe alum, and theidle is set low, I don't like my cars idled high it makes them a little tough to drive for me,
good info though. Keep in mind this is just a backyard basher me and some buddies have tracks in our backyards, just new to Ofna. I went thru the car when I got it and everything was in excelent condition. How about diff oils? I started out with a Associated diff oil set up front7000 cent10000 rear5000.

Try a set of heavy springs in your clutch, that way your engine will need a bit more revs before the clutch actually bites and will accelerate harder.
