I just bought an hpi trophy 3.5. Set at factory settings on the carb for breakin, it wont idle. I set it higher but it runs off. May run a little bit with glow igniter still connected. It is 20deg f in ny but i was starting it in my dorrway to the yard and also used the hair dryer method, no luck. Have the R5 cold glow plug and a hot N4 glowplug and still nothing. Using traxxas top fuel 20%... Can it be the fuel?
I had a redcat tornado that run and started up fine with that fuel.

I have never used that fuel but I can read the internet...

When it is cold and/or you are breaking in a new engine and running rich then a hotter plug will make life easier...

If you want to use the "sit at idle for a tank of fuel" break in method then just advance the throttle trim and put the car on a block so the wheels are free to turn....
