new here need help on what to get for a 1/8th scale buggy
First off i would like to say hi from north east PA.
Well to start. I need some help. Im looking into getting back into 1/8th scale buggy racing/bashing. I had one years ago an OFNA hyper 7 pro kit not sure what engine or pipe had an old old Futaba radio system and not sure what servo's etc.
I have about a grand to spend on this project so i want something that"s durable reliable and will last. Iv been doing some searching and found that Losi Mugen and Kyosho seem to be the best? Im pretty sure i want to build it from the ground up "kit, engine, pipe, servo's,etc"
If any one would be so kind as to point me in the right direction as far as kits and everything i would need to add upto my price point that would be great.
Thanks Derrick

Just a quick thought popped into my head. You should also look at Xray buggies, I've run their electric buggies and they are solid, reliable and strong.
Here's a link to it...http://www.teamxray.com/xb8/

hi derrick87 , you should also look at kyosho inferno mp9 tki 3 and mugen mbx7 , tekno nb48.3
xray losi eight 4.0 nitro buggies these are very popular and are tops racing and plenty of parts are available, some of these models are great racers in europe also , you might be over a grand by time
you get motors , servos , radio/receiver and tires ok good luck in your search ok mugey

Well i went with Futaba 3pl 2.4gh RX and TX combo not the best but decent. As for the servo's i went with the Kyosho tki3 rtr ones pretty cheap and there metal gear. motor pipe and manifold are novarossi .21 off 129$ for the combo on sale. tires are proline bowties med. Went with 37.5 TA front shock oil and TA 35 rear.
