Hey Guys,
I've just done the nitro to electric conversion on my Losi TLR 8ight 1/8 3.0 buggy.
All went well with the kit. However I ended up getting a Team Losi Racing 8IGHT-E 3.0 Cab Forward Buggy Body (Clear) body which does not fit. I should have gone with the XE version.
But I was wondering if any of you out there have done this conversion and what body you used?
My concern is with the battery and electronics it seems that it requires more volume from the body and its raised the internal height requirement.
Do not want to order another body that will not fit correctly.
I contacted Delta Plastik USA, they recommended the OFF58.
Anyone tried this?

Update:
Ended up getting the G8 Proto from Grafil Bodies in Italy.
Better fit but not great.
I need 10 replies then I can post some pictures. Maybe it helps someone else along the way.

Hi dcrc187,
I went through the same thing a year ago when I converted a nitro 8ight 3.0 to electric. I am still looking for other options but I believe the 8ight E 2.0 body is the one that fits. The 8ight-E 3.0 is too narrow, and the 3.0 nitro bodies all have holes cut in them and they don't have much room for batteries like you said.
I found one seller on ebay that sells painted 8ight E 2.0 bodies so that is what I have. It fits fine but doesn't have a ton of extra room inside. I fit 2 hardcase 2 cell 5500mah lipos, but I have to be careful routing the wires.
I'm not sure if I can post links but here is the ebay listing:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/35427968031...Bk9SR_DhxbroYA
If the link doesn't work, you can search ebay for the 8ight E 2.0 body, I think it is the only one and it is purple.
