Default OS VZ-B V-Spec temps in MP777

Hey everyone,

Was on hiatus at the cottage for the last couple of weeks. Good times, came back with some broken parts and a non functioning Revo but the Kyosho is still running. My question to anyone who has used the VZ-B V-Spec or knows of people running it. What are the temps that you are running at? I seem to be running in the high 200's and if it's anything like my Revo, that's too hot. I've richened it out to try to solve the temp problems but they aren't going down by much. So lemme know what temps you run or if you know of any cooling tricks or if I'm off my rocker.

Cheers

It all depends on the ambient temperature, humidity, altitude, fuel, glow plugs, air filter, fuel line etc. But I run mine around 250-270 here in Florida ~95 degrees ambient, OS T 2050 pipe, P3 Plug, Rocket Science 30% and XRAY air filter.

250-270 is not high at all. That is average. You gotta remember these engines are made to withstand higher temperatures, unlike the cheaper engines. ALso, every single engine is different. Just because one engine runs 230 doesnt mean the other is gonna run 230- it could run at 210 or 340. There are far too many variables to determine a temperature. Also DONT TUNE BY TEMP. Always tune by smoke and performance, and just use temp as a refrence or secondary tuning method.

Yeah there seems to be good smoke, I was just a little worried that maybe I was doing some damage when the temps were registering in the high 200's. The temps here have been very high with crazy humidity so hopefully this week when they cool down a bit I can get a real reading. Thanks guys for a ll your info!!!

Cheers
