RE: X1CR or 777 SP2
I voted Kyosho.
When I was looking for a new buggy, I drove as many buggies as I could. I race with X ray, Kyosho and Mugen sponsored drivers and got to drive them and others. Well I ended up liking the Kyosho the best, so that is what I got after driving most of the buggies out there. Just my personal preference.

best bang for the buck for sure, the x1 cr. i have one and its awesome. i think its a sleeper. it has alot of features and wont hurt the pocket book. the best place for parts online is www.carolinasrc.com if you sign up for the newsletter, theyll send out discounts and updates for new products. Tim

What is the difference in wieght between these two. I have a jamminand thinkit is great buy have not owned anything else so I cannot say.It seems to me the jammin is very stable but not nimble lke the Kyosho and Mugen ...is that from a wieght issue.(not my weight!)

RE: X1CR or 777 SP2
the XB8 is the lightest buggy rtr out of the box the 777 is one of the heavier ones the prospec and jammin fall somewhere in between. A friend of mine that ones a Jammin and a X1 CR said he had them both weight and the jammin was actually lighter.
I can't say any of this is fact until someone measures all these buggies on the same scale with the same servos, engines, tires etc

well, the sp1 won the cage match, and the sp2 is 4mm longer, and the engine is set back further than the sp1.
drivers say that this thing has insane amounts of steering, and it cuts through the track very well. at least that's what Jeremy Kortz says.

I have both buggies and my lap times are almost identical. I can run alittle faster and more consistant on bumpy tracks with alot of small wash boards with the x1cr and I can go alittle faster on smoother tracks with sweeper turns with the K-SP2. It's all about driving style and car setup.

Now there is a man to listen too. Someone who can compare both because they have both..

i would just say you should go with the jammin because there are both just as good as each other and can win races and one is about 150 to 200 dollars less expensive

RE: X1CR or 777 SP2
I have owned the Jammin Pro and 777 SP1.
Jammin felter better planted on a some what rough track with a good sweeper corner. Just a bit better than the 777 SP1, but what sold me on the 777 was one jump on my local track. No matter what I did and what setup changes I did, I could not get the Jammin to hold its nose level or bring it up. It always dropped the nose, while the 777 SP1 did it with no problems at all.
I think a Jammin with some Kyosho 777 SP2 shocks will be a killer buggy!!!

i checked those and adjusted those accordingly
it had killer brakes with the mods i made to it

The brakes were probably slightly dragging.
