The stock shock fluid is very thin 30wt. maybe less modified mine again this time 40wt. front and back drilled both holes in piston with a 1/16 drill bit and tapered one hole on the inside of pistons with a 3/32 drill bit that will let the tire get back to the ground faster same on back but used a 5/54 drill to taper no spacers on front shocks two thick spacers each on back shocks much better traction. I posted before do not use the cs-64 servo for steering that was a lesson to be learned by a kid that works for me he had to play wih the raze that day now he will stack two cords of wood and work on the track use metal gears and high torque servos.

You might have over extended the rope you only need to pull it about 8 inches max ,its easy to fix unless you havent assembled one before Look on the web for a article written by the late Ron Paris [parisracingproducts] it explains how to tune a engine and the most common MISTAKES made by people, Ron Paris was one of the preimer engine tuners and designers his students are some of the top in the field today If all else fails reset to factory specs and go from there PS: a med size paper clip is about [1mm] according my dial calipers ,dont overtighten the mix. screws or you can mushroom the spraybar and or the needle tip roll[turn] the screwdriver in[with] your finger tips not the palm of your hand

onedark i checked the fluid in my shocks i think your right, pretty thin replaced it with 35w but thats a little thin, doesn't bounce but is a bit to fast[soft] i am going to have to get some 45wt and some 50wt now that i have opened that can of worms by messing with the shocks. Have you messed with the diffs. yet i think ill try 1k or 3k,rear 5kfront and 7k or 10kcenter, if you have what worked best for you

After 6 tanks of fuel for the last setup and 4 tanks in this new setup I changed fluid from 40wt. all around to 35 front and 50 back one thick spacer one thin spacer each on back shocks I think ill stay with this new setup best ride on my track so far. Ill try differnt tires after a few more quarts of fuel. Y es I posted before 4000wt. front 5000wt. center 1500wt. rear this is what seems to work for me at this time may change because of different tires or other setup but I doubt it have fun.

Thanks onedark i looked at past posts i saw your old post on diff. fluid .i'm bad lol i must have not paid enough attention thanks, On the diff. your right in the ballpark of where i thought it should be so at least i am pretty close .I think i might get a sway bar kit along with the new shock oil then go from there, By the way for those who havent noticed ,on the stock tires they are directional [chevron] tread and can face frontwards like this\\\\\ if you swap side to side they run ///// so the back and front can be different for front to rear traction tuning

well i got one tip. dont let anyone work on your own car onless they have sum knowledge. My friends dad knows everything about quads bikes and small engine but not nitro rc. he fixed my prob with carb getin gas, but he broke the pull starter. so i havent even gotten to drive my new rc. tomorrow im bringing it to the lhs to get fixed. i wanna fix it myself but its my first rc and by the time i order the pull start and what i not i would have payed the same at the lhs so ill let you no how much they get me for, either way i got my friens t max to mess with till i get mine back
i cant wait to race and beat 1000 buggys with a 300 buggy
its all bout the driver

Since your pullstart is broke, I would consider switching it out to the shaft start like the Warhead has, you can get the whole kit for the .27CX motor for 32.00 or you can spend 19.00 on a new pull starter, and you still have to pull it and risk breaking it again.......just a thought

If the lhs wants way to much to fix it look into going with a starter box then youll have one for other cars and trucks and a way to start them if you get one with a race oriented engine but it will cost you about 80.00 to 100.00 dollars [It really ain't the cars that cost alot its the extras needed that cost alot ie:fuel glowplugs batteries chargers tires oil ect....

I tore my raze down to prepare it for new diff fluid i did notice a small shiney spot on the rear/center dogbone there must be a small amount of chassic flex just enough to let the dogbone touch the motor mount it is just enough to rub the coating off i think that for those that go with the 14th clutch bell it will move the engine away enough or if you get the aluminum chassic braces it will control the flex, it doesnt contact enough to cause any problem but it did surprise me a little

Yea i figured something like that would happen... Theres a lot of plastic parts on it. Eventually Im sure everybody that owns a raze will switch the whole thing over to aluminum

As far as going to all aluminun on the raze if a person goes with just what Duratrax offers as upgrades now the car will be stronger and handle great[better]. I have a rc10gt which is been converted to ALL!! alluminum, every suspension part even the transmission case and [1 off] custom made aluminum wheels no matter how much i try it just don't handle correct and i have around $900.00 or more into it I learned [discovered]that there has to be a small amount of flex in the car to handle correct just in the right areas
