RE: o.s rg?
we have a couple of guys at our track running the VG right now. They seem to be very good motors run like a top plenty of power. Great bottom end. Laking a little on the top but they do a great job.
ORIGINAL: R/C biy
really does that motor have good power and keep its tune very well?

VG has ABL sleeve and the verdict is still out on it. OS is the only one using it and even on their high end engines are using ABC like 99% of the other engine manufactures. If you get the OS VG please give us an up date when you have at least 5 or 6 gallons on it.

RE: o.s rg?
I blew the rear bearing after 2.5/3 gallons, but man was that motor nice. plenty of power for short tracks. I run the werks b3 right now and wish i had another vg. Just replace the rear bearing before too much wear. The motor breaks in easy enough, holds a tune well, and I think my issue was related more to the fuel i was running ( mixed locally) and/or just a bad bearing.

RE: o.s rg?
Got about 2 gallons through my VG. Can't complain other than the long break-in process. Ran about 1/2 a gallon through it before I felt comfortable putting to the track to race..............

RE: o.s rg?
nothin compares to it. im runnin a RG in my X5. and i will run it forever. i rebuilt it once and i will continue to rebuild it when its needed. before my last rebuild i had a good 17 gallons on it. untill the piston and sleeve was so worn out i was loosin compresion. as long as the parts are available for the rg i will i will never use a different motor. its to bad they dont make em anymore but its cool theres still all the parts for them
