Hot Bodies Lightning 2 Pro Evo vs CEN Racing Matrix Pro 1/8 Buggy Factory Race Edition
Hello,
I am at the point of choosing one of these two cars: Hot Bodies Lightning 2 Pro Evo
and CEN Racing Matrix Pro 1/8 Buggy Factory Race Edition.
What are the pros and cons of each car?
Thanks

RE: Hot Bodies Lightning 2 Pro Evo vs CEN Racing Matrix Pro 1/8 Buggy Factory Race Edition
Slow reply. I've had both..
Matrix (assuming not the R2)
-good-
-Nice handling, easy to setup
-Good suspenion
-excellent manual
-easy to control in the air
-lotsa bling bling upgrades
-Bad-
-no tyres or body included (dumb)
-weak front knuckles, they break very easily
-3 disk breaks are overkill and make it heavier and more fiddly to get at centre diff
-flywheel hole is to narrow for many starter boxes, needs widening (was 3 years I had mine, might have been fixed)
-centre diff leaks (I think its been addressed tho)
-Not many hobbyshops carry Cen stuff
Lightning Pro R Evo
good
-Handles well
-cheap parts
-pretty rugged
-cheap pro buggy
-weak points on previous model have been fixed
-looks good
Bad
-Discontinued, not a true match for the new gen Losi's, Hyper 9's, Mugens ect (superceded by the D8)
-Gets a lot of slop on the plastic parts quickly
