The X1 CR FTE is probably the toughest buggy ever made in my opinion and the fastest single engined buggy in the world is a X1 CR FTE at 74.6mph with a Falcon .28 strapped in.Losi are a popular choice and thats why so many win, from races i've seen the majority of the field has Losi 8's and that puts the odds of one winning the race up there at 95% probability.A lot of people find them way too twitchy and as for strength they're not the greatest..Far too much premature wear on parts for a kit that costs so much,I agree,i'd rather have a X1 CR than a Losi but then again I like the Xray X8B more than all others,it's personal choice at the end of the day....

Good on ya quiz anyhow, the buggy looks great and still have the best shocks in the business for me,I even have a set on my VRX-2 Pro now...

the original X1 shocks SUCKED big time....Durable. .....and who cares what speed it did in a highspeed run...GUARENTEED the losi or AE or the 808 would do the same thing PLUS some....as they actually have efficient gearing ratio's compared to the X1.

bring it back gaiz i know you still run this...we should do a setup deal on here

my current setup is going to be:
40/30 in shocks with sbb's and purple springs (unsure of firmness)
5(F),7(C),2(R)
upper a-arm mount b mounted on the top hole
2.5 r plate
hitec 5955tg steering,jr 650m throttle(soon to be a better servo)

future stuff:
kyosho lightweight center diff
lightweight out drive cups in center
lightweight milled chassis
and when it's released hongnor split center diff mount

wow that thing must have loads of oversteer on a loose surface...heck that setup makes the car almost rwd lol...but if it works

i really wonder what else the worlds kit would have on it? i've seen pics and it looks the same other than split center diff and the cf prototype towers on james' car

I still own Jammin X1 Truggy and Buggy. Left em in storage for 3 years. Took em out last week been working on them getting em ready to goto the local track. Great deal of fun I tell ya. Still have the original Covers as well.
