What would you guys like to see improved on the 8ight? Maybe beefier, rear outer hinge pins, bronze bushings in the ackerman plate... Other than that I couldn't see Losi doing much to improve.

EDIT: they need to do something about the fuel tank lid. That has to be my biggest gripe, the spring is crap.

I think there is another losi buggy coming. I talked to someone who is very deep into losi and he says that a new buggy is coming.

I agree, causes a lot of haedaches, and tuning issues if you don't pay attention.

is it really that hard to use bands like u would a throttle return.....i have yett to have any tank lid issues u guys seem to have.....but then again....I wrap All tanks in bands to ENSURE a 100% closed lid...dispite what the pitman does.

Just like the throttle bands....but u can stretch them out to fit the tank nicely.

I'd still get an 8ight today over anything else on the market.

I think it depends on wether or not a Losi wins the worlds, if a Losi wins then I would imagine that they market the current 8ight for atleast another year and wait to bring out a new buggy. If they do win the Worlds I would also assume that they release a "Worlds" edition 8ight just like every other manufacturer that has ever won a Worlds does.

My only gripes are that the receiver box needs to be a smidge larger, and the rod ends need to not wear out so fast.........also make it so you can change the diff bearings without having to pull the diff completely apart (not an exclusive issue to Losi). By the way....I'm just nit picking here.

What do you have in the receiver box that it's to small? I've got all 4 of the receiver plugs occupied and and I have room for foam all around the receiver.

It just seems like I almost need a shoe horn to get the cap on.....most of it is occupied by servo wires jammed under the switch and around the receiver. Maybe the receiver area is fine, but the area under the switch could be bigger.

I agree, the box is a bit small, but I have an older JR radio, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the reciever is a little larger than the latest ones.

That makes sense, I don't use the switch.

I've heard its an oval version of the 8ight. It makes since. Anyone looked at the 1/8 DLM body they just released. I've seen a pic of it with an 8ight chassis underneath (only way I can tell that is I can see part of the rear hinge plate LOL). Besides that I haven't seen anything else, and I don't expect to see losi releasing anything AFTER the worlds. this is just my two cents leave it or take it. (FYI I WOULD BUY A DLM 8IGHT!!!!!!! SOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN)

Funny you should say that.....on sunday, my switch started acting up during the qualifiers, so I pulled it out before the main and just ran a servo extension from the receiver to the battery box. So right now I'm not running a switch either. But I miss the convenience of having it.

Thats the exact reason I don't use a switch I just run the battery lead outside of the box and the servo extension outside of the receiver box. It's as easy as using a switch IMO.

the only problem with that is after a while the plug surfaces will wear, and the pins wont be tight.

Ive never had a problem with the switch itself going bad. So I run one... i have no problem fitting a switch, spektrum pro receiver, transponder, and all the wires in the radio box.
