Help with buggy..
Well, recently i decided on a GV Dominator (XTM XT2), but it was recently sold at my lhs, and i was going to buy it in 2 days (b'day), but now i have to wait 2 freakin' weeks, but i dunno if i could wait that long >=[
There is also a EB-4 S3 RTR (i think it's S3) at the store, on special at AU $389 (normally $429) and the Dominator is AU $479, theres also a Ansmann virus for $419, but i don't hear much good about them
Question is, is the dominator worth waiting for? or just get EB-4?
I will mainly bash, maybe a bit of racing.
EDIT - it's the EB-4 in this picture, an S2 Pro ( i think )
also shown is the Dominator and Virus

The dominator is like $320US so that is within the price you stated and parts are easy to get for GV at pretty much any hobby store down here, for a basher the GV gets my vote

RE: Help with buggy..
You should look at the EB4 I own the Xt2 and it's a heavy buggy over a pound more than the EB4. the xt2 is a great basher but it only a basher it would take alot of money to make any kind a racer I know you said you want to do little racing but after few races you will get hooked and I think the EB4 would be a better platform to build on. If you can go to your hobby shop and look at the two side by side and you will see the size and weight diff I wish I would have done more homework before I bought mine but being new to the whole thing I took the advice of the guy at the hobby shop and by talking to people at the track i found out that he tries to sell eveyone xtm while he runs other brands on race day. Just take your time and do your homework ask the people at your local track that what I did before buying my RC8T and i'm very happy with it. Good luck on what ever you decide

ORIGINAL: Nik.
if it really is the EB4, i'd get that, it's a more conventional buggy, and proven. if not then the GV gets my vote out of those choices.

RE: Help with buggy..
I'd go with the EB4. The original X-terminators has some diff housing issues. Alot of people blamed the diff and gears itself, but it was actually housing flex allowing the gears to come un-meshed when under torque. I don't know if they beefed up the housings for the XT2 or not, but I don't think they did.

The XT2 diff housing have no problems. I have never heard of diff problems on a XT2. Now the Mammoth and MMT are different stories.
I voted GV. They are seriously built tough as a nail.

Thunder Tiger all the way. The S3 won the Nats in '06, and many elements of it were used on the Associated RC8, such as the proven diffs.
