Car: RC8B, with the FT Aluminum gearbox input cups and stub axles, and the new blue CNC steering knuckles and rear hub carriers. Also, a Hexcrews AP screw set and blue locknuts throughout.

Engine: RBmods modified Orion CRF 21 2009 U.S. Spec

Pipe: I don't know, what ever works best with the above engine.

Servos: JR HV Torque on steering, and Speed on throttle.

Radio: My DX3R

If I weren't already tied to AE(which I have no reason whatsoever to complain about btw - so far so excellent... I REALLY like my RC8T and RC8...)  I would try a Mugen..  They just have the rep as the uncompromising best when it comes to quality..(along with X-ray, which is a little too rare though IMO, so part availability and price would put me off...)

I would get a Mugen buggy, with JX 21 Ninja engine with whatever the right pipe is, high end Futaba servos, and a DX3R.

With two grand though I would get the Mugen buggy AND truggy, and maybe a couple Jammin JPX 21 engines, with 2x JP-4 pipes, some slightly less expensive servos, maybe Hitec, and a DX3R with 2 receivers.  If all that is possible...   I'd rather have a second ride than a bunch of expensive tuning...  Just me though..

koyosho mp9 750$,KoPo Pro servos. 135$ eachOS worlds engine 425$, jammin jp 6 85$. that would be a nice start. but in reality i run a hyper 9. the other stuff i have. the price tag on that inferno is just so angry. i think she looks pretty though.do you think its worth the money?

Nope, the MP9 has major durability issues, cheap plastic. Most people that had em dumped em because they kept snapping fron a-arms and grew tired of not being able to finish a race.

I personally have an OFNA 1/8 that is pretty much all of my own design with various parts from various OFNA vehicles and have one hell of a strong and fast buggy.... If I had that much money to blow I would go for a 8ight T 2.0(truggy)for sure I hear it is one solid machine, and comes RTR with a DX3S and starter box. not a bad deal. The SC8 is also a top notch vehicle, but is technically not a buggy at all, it is a short course truck like the Traxxas Slayer, and Kyosho DRT to name a few. so it is a completely different animal. you will get all sorts of advice here and everyone has their own opinion on what is the best and no 2 of us will agree completely...

Doh misread that.... not an SC8 but an RC8B anyways another solid buggy Associated makes great vehicles too.... I would still personally steer towards the Losi, they have one of the best support departments in the Biz, and parts availability is right there.... Plus like I said, it comes with a DX3S which is hands down an awesome radio set that provides telemetry functions like engine temp, and vehicle rpm/speed... that radio alone is 250 bucks.

Looks like a lot of the guys like the xray 808!
I wonder if the hop ups on amainhobbies will make it even better...

Anything good from here???http://www.amainhobbies.com/index.php/cPath/1_24_893
I know the mud guards are help full...

Im asking because my LHS has a lot of parts for the 808 and im probably going to buy one

That's Bull...... about  the MP9, I have race it alot, and only broke one suspension part when I crashed into a metal pole, unless , of course somebody it's so terribly bad that will crash against everything WOT.

I have the 7.5, 777WC and the MP9 and they are as durable as any other good car.

Well i have learned that all top end cars like xray losi... etc they are all good and they probably handle the same on the track.
So the main reason to buy a car over another is how easy it is to get the parts for it.
Anyone got any pics of the xray 808 2009 spec??? How do you guys like it???

Yeah, nevermind the driver, because it's all about the car, the driver dosent mean diddly, next time I place 2nd I'm gonna call and complain to Losi cause they need to make a better buggy.

Ya thats true im looking more into the losi 2.0 now because all the buggies are similar and i already have the truggy so some parts can be used on both so that will be convenient...
They seem pretty popular on the poll yet i don't really see to many videos on youtube of them, but i think thats just because it was just released.

What do you guys think of the smart diffs???
Are they worth it???Has anyone tested them???
