Mega Brake upgrade !!
Just done a 6 disc brake upgrade to my Ansmann Virus, coupled with a 15 kg servo and a 6V battery pack, and it's amazing, Took a bit of filling and drilling but worth it, I can lock all four wheels at any speed on any surface, just wondering if anyone else has done anything similar or even better, i'll get some pics to help if anyone fancies having a bash!

you can get the same results by using a stiff spring in the linkage instead of fuel line, i run my brakes at 35% and its a bit much if the track is loose. and locking up your tires is not good.

I agree that locking your wheels ain't always a good thing but it's nice to know you can if you want to, and the project wasn't intended as a rece mod, more just to see if it could be done!!

A mega brake upgrade of this type is an excellent option for Stadium Trucks. For buggies, it is an overkill. [>:]

Again.. I can easily lock the wheels on my RC8T with just 2 discs total. 1 front and 1 rear.

The optional Z-Car cnc braking system is hands down the baddest in the world, period.

They do in 1/4 scale. They did try it in 1/8th nitrobuggy. They tried using cables and hydraulics. End result was uneven braking, added unsprung weight, and cost/complexity. On cars this small it was too easy to foul one of the front wheel discs with mid/dirt/oil. Then you would have uneven braking.
Brakes don't scale down very well. We are better off with two disks on the center diff. It would be nice to have better billet calipers like the SH setup.
Whaaaa, that's insane. Can't wait till they make the brakes within the wheels like real cars.
