the parts quality, price, and availability of the mugen is too great to compare to any other. just my opinion.

None of the above....yet. What you should do is use the search button and read the
threads from the last dozen or so times this was posted.

In that case why bother asking this question, which indeed has been asked a million times. Just get all three or four and decide which you like best.

Mr. Wallet is only good for one RC enthusiast!
Anyway, the MBX6 from Mugen seems pretty popular? I think I have it narrowed down between the MBX6 and the Losi 8eight 2.0.............or possibly the truggy versions, gotta check with RC Extreme in FItchburg mass. to see what race class is most popular before I make the plunge.

New odonnell sg. The best quality buggy out there. Mugens are 2nd. id say get the odonnell its cheaper then the mugen and imo better. ive ran all the cars, i currently run hot bodies and odonnell is my next buggy. Good luck

i'd say everybody is playing catchup with Xray as far as quality is concerned!
the fit, finish materials used etc are all top of the line
apparently the new 808 has different gearbox casings that fix the pinion problem for good

I for one think Im going to pick up an O'Donnell Z01-B SG................the build does seem to be top notch, they design layout is well thought out, and the geometry of the suspension looks solid. Especially for $400, significantly cheaper than a few other brands, leaving significant money for potential upgrades etc. I am also seriously thinking of picking up one of those "The Car" models as well. Will probably place a pre order in the next week or 2............

According to JQ's facebook post, something like 125th [] I'm guessing engine or electrical issues? JQ himself finished fourth...
From Facebook:
"‎4th place at PL race in UK. Jess finished in the semi, and Adam about 125th, all in all great week end. Got better and better, faster and faster throughout the event. THE Car was strong, and finished all the mains. Happy times."

well it went well but not as well as expected for me anyway
Joseph got 4th, Bulletproof got knocked out in the semi & i crapped out in 118th [&:]
those 2 guys are better than me & they are always up there but i'm usually in the bottom half of the results (which works out well for pitting etc)
we never had a chance to test the cars before the event due to bad weather so we had it all to do during practice.
pretty much everyone there had raced the national on the track the week before so even practice was fast!
i made a few changes during practice as the car had way too much steering for me & was way too responsive!
i've hardly raced this year & we had to slow the cars reactions down to match mine, late on we moved the engine back which for me made the car feel much more planted
i'd be tempted to move it forward again once i got more used to the car. i actually went 15 seconds faster than i ever have around that track!
into qualifying & i was managing around the same pace which usually would put you in like a C final at a club race but was only enough for the pullstart final!
couldn't believe it [&:]
well after a last minute repair after the car was damaged in the mechanics race by neobuggy phil ( who got 2nd place) i went out expecting to do some bumping up
started 11th, up to 4th after first lap, just needed to drive round but crashed & while waiting to be marshalled the whole train went through [&o]
you never want to crash in the first few laps
after that i spent time clawing back places, getting taken out, the odd crash etc, flameout on a fuelstop & after that it was all over for me [&o]
i've bumped as many as 5 times before but this week it just wasn't happening[&:]
i can say that the car has a very free running drivetrain, is very agile & changes direction quickly, responds to adjustments well & jumps really really well
very safe & predictable. also it seems pretty strong as Joseph did tell me to hammer it & i was going very large over the jumps etc
the only thing i broke all weekend was a front hingepin when i landed from a mega jump & found a car upside down right in front of me! no brakes in the air!
this was one of the first batch "over hardened " pins that have already been corrected in production
i would have liked to have spent more time with the car this time round & i'm sure i could get it going better
probably the most important thing i need is more track time myself [&:]
hopefully i'll get an early production kit pre release to get some more testing in but i will say that its a car to keep your eye on
i have a load of pics on my facebook that some of you may have seen?

if you are going to be racing down at excitement, youll want either the losi, associated, or odonnell. im currently running the odonnell, and so is "the fast guy". there is also a track in concord NH on rt 106.

Well I picked up an Associated RC8B, it was between that and the Losi 8ight 2.0(which Ill prolly get anyway before Xmas)but the RC8B came across as a very competent design at a very good price($400 shipped). Im sure all the vehicles are extremely close in performance where it really comes down to how good the person is holding the transmitter.
