When a nitro mill decellerates quickly, some fuel puddles in the carb and combustion chamber. then, when u get on the gas again, the engine will bog down for a second or two, before this fuel clears out. you feel this, when u squeeze the go trigger and the car takes a second before the rpm's really climb. The boost bottle is supposed to allow the fuel to gather inside it, instead of the carb, thus allowing the engine to accelerate much quicker. In theory anyway. This is not that usefull in bashing, but if u race it give an edge in acceleration out of the turns. There is some skepticism as to whether or not this item actually works. |

RE: ofna hyper 7 pbs
and what servos are in that thing his losi 8ight-t
|
RE: ofna hyper 7 pbs
the theory behind a boost bottle/chamber is that when the intake window on the crank shaft closes (located under th carb throat) the inertia of the incoming air/fuel mixture has nowhere to go and stops dead and kinda bounces out of the carb opening a little.
the boost bottle hooked into the carb throat under the main body of the carb acts like an accumulator in the way of soaking up the incoming air/fuel mixture keeping it from stopping dead and keeping the speed/inertia going and taking the work away from the vacuum created inside the engines crank case, in turn freeing up horse power and torque, helping idle and tuning. of course this IS just a theory. |
RE: ofna hyper 7 pbs
ok so should i go with that buggy or lifeofrc's losi 8ight-t with big red .28 dynamite platnum pipe etc for my lst2 add

RE: ofna hyper 7 pbs
nice give more info on it wats it need how much faster then a dynamite bigred mach 2 .28 also wat servos does he run in the losi 8ight-t i think im just going for that even though i want the losi 8ight-2.0 or just a 2.0 body
|
RE: ofna hyper 7 pbs
I dont think its faster than the big red...i had one those in my HB LSP..it spins to a higher RPM and is more suited to racing..it doesnt need anything just put back together and i dont know what servos he uses i just seen the truck along all his others
|
RE: ofna hyper 7 pbs
ok well i decided on the losi
|
RE: ofna hyper 7 pbs
And A Good Choice You Did...You'll like the truggy a lot more than the buggy trust me...especially if you ever plan on doing any bashing and not just racing...Truggies have more ground clearance less likely to get stuck on rocks and things of that nature!
