Buggy Problems
 

I have a OFNA and I only was able to get it to run 3 three times. It is a nitro and I without the pull start. I have change the glow plug in it but it still want crank. I don't know what else to do about it? I don't really know much about nitro's and would really love to get advice one them.</p>

Are you sure your glo plug is gloing
is the motor getting fuel
set needles back to factory
does the motor have good pinch(compression)

As far as the needle what do you mean?  The motor isn't heating up when I try to crank it up  and yes it is getting fuel.   How would I know if it has a good pinch? Once again I am very new to this and i got this buggy from a friend of mine. So everything I am diong with it is a learning stage for me.

I would recommend getting the instruction manual for the engine.
The manual will show you the stock settings for the needles.

As for pinch easy way to check take out the plug, and rotate the flywheel if you feel resistance at the top of the stroke it has pinch. If not the piston, and sleeve either need to be re-pinched or replaced.

What glow plug are you running with it? Is the glow plug warmer completely charged(some people forget this when new)?


BTW I directed you here cause in the electric forum the only thing they would say would be buy an electric, or something stupid ;)

Take out the glow plug and put the glow driver( glow plug warmer, whatever you want to call it) on the end of the glow plug to see if the glow is actually working. If it is ok, you should see the element  turn bright orange or nearly yellow.<div>
</div><div>By 'the needles', we are talking about the high-speed needle and low-speed needle. These are the needles that you use to tune the engine. If you have an instruction manual for the engine, it should tell you how to reset these. This should make it much easier to start the engine.</div><div>
</div><div>If you are having a problem starting the engine, you may need to make sure that the engine is primed before trying to start it. This means that there is fuel in the fuel lines before starting the engine. You can do this by putting you finger over the exhaust and pulling the pull start a few times until you see fuel flowing through the fuel lines. Don't do this with the glow driver on the glow plug though!!</div><div>
