buggy problems again....need help

Ok my buggy will not turn right sometimes, most of the time it will but when i turn left apply throttle then snap back right it only turns alittle bit and it stays like that until i turn back left again. I changed recievers and changed servos but that did not help it still does it. Im now thinking that its mechanical but my steering is crystal clear. do you think its a vibration issue??? Its not my transmitter because it doesnt do it when i drive my stadium truck. please help im really stumped on this one.

stupid thought, but this actually happened to me on my storm pro. look at the linkage attached to the servo horn, make sure when u turn right, it isnt pushing against the front brake pad. mine was not adjusted right after i built it, and this would happen, causing the same thing u are talking about.

dont know if this has anything to do with your problem, but its something else to look at.

dagass, i have the mbx r2 with a o.s. .21 rg.

Nitro addict, if the linkage was rubbing on the brake then it would never turn right. It only does this when i do a certain sequence of inputs. I reset my transmitter cause i thought that it was auto durual rate but its not. Im soooooo stumped please help:D

Nitroman,

There is a little something I might suggest that you look at. Take a peek at your front Pivot balls. If you look closely on the back side of your front knuckles, they are recessed to allow the knuckles to turn during different stages of suspension compression (see picture). If the shaft part of your pivot ball is bent at all, it throws off the alignment and the knuckle will bind. I would suggest that you look closely at your pivot balls (both sides, top and bottom) to see if any of them are bent.

Another good way to check and see if the pivot balls are your problem is to take off the front wheels and turn the knuckles all the way to either side. With the knuckles turned, compress either side of the suspension. If the balls are binding, your knuckles will try and return to center. This has happened to me with my PBS and all I did was remove the pivot ball from the arm and straighten it in a vice.

One other thing to look at is where the front turnbuckle attaches to the steering slider. If the screw is backing out, when you make an abrubt turn, that screw can hit the bottom part of the top control arm. I have a little groove in my control arm grom this very thing happening. Good luck!

I found out what it is. you know the little black plastic washer things that are on the shaft that the upper a arm is on??? well those were hanging down so when id turn the screw on the turnbuckle would hit them. I zip tied them so they wont move around. problem solved.

also dagass i heard that your going to be getting a o.s. .21 rg soon, let me tell you they are awsome. my buggy is faster then grease lighting in a bottle.

I have the OS21RG loaded into my PBS as we speak. I have one tank through it already and "holy cow", it just sounds mean.

Here's some pics of the bad boy:

You're 7 years late with your reply. That could be a problem. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...ey/msn/lol.gif
