RE: converting mbx to kickup chassis???
I dont think you'll need a different dog bone/cvd,
I didn't need one when I swap'd my chassis out. I'd mount it up first before spending any cash on parts you may not need. |
RE: converting mbx to kickup chassis???
yea thats probably a good idea, I think ill just compare my dogbone to my friends who has a kickup chassis. Also i will need some plastic brace too, do you no what im talking about?

RE: converting mbx to kickup chassis???
Yes, only I used my existing GT braces (modified slightly).
I'll post pics after I clean my M Blazer GTX Monster Truck, its a bit dirty (to say the least) now and I'll also need a host later. TTYL Ron |
RE: converting mbx to kickup chassis???
The stock shaft is a hair to long. It will work but if the chassis flexes a little(and it will) it will bind up a little.Either grind a little off of the end or get the correct shaft. Tower doesn't carry it you have to get it from www.nitrohouse.com look under the MBX pro parts list. The part number I think is 36100 but not for sure. The stock brace will work, it should have 2 sets of holes in it, you just use the other 2 holes..It is pretty straight forward.

RE: converting mbx to kickup chassis???
I agree, the bone is a 'lil snug. I didn't consider chassis flex though, I have a custom (integrated upper tube chassis) roll cage.
