opinions on the OS 21 RZ
 

hi guys and gals ( not sure if there is any ) just got a car with the OS 21 RZ , just wondering what you think of the engine ?

the Os 21 RZ is a turbo engine. I've seen it in action. The engine screams. However, the one I saw died on the driver. The conrod bent and cracked and edge peices off the piston broke loose. I'm in no way saying that this will happen to your engine or that the engine is no good because it happened, it just happened. Not sure why. Like I said though, that engine was tearing it up at the local track. One bit of info, before you remove the glow plug always clean around it with some nitro blast or any rc cleaner. Do this just to ensure that no debris falls into the engine when you remove the plug. Also make sure the seating area for the glow plug is clean before you put the plug back in to ensure you get a good seal between the plug and the head button. This will prevent any air leaks etc.

Please disregard the above post. I realized after replying that it was a VZR i was talking about and not the RZ, my appologies for the mistake.

Its actually the RZ21V99B an older engine , with the booster bottle

its a good engine still the vo1b replaced it that was the engine to have too bad os quit making it and went with the vzb piece of crap engine lasts 1-2 gallons not sure on the new vz-b v-spec since its just now out in japan wont be in the states till fall 04

Its a great engine. Ive had my v99b for several years. The only problems ive had with it was the booster bottle cap kept popping off the back of the engine. I removed it and plugged the hole under the carb. Engine runs as good as it every did.
