DIFF QUESTION-ADVICE PLEASE

I've just re-built the centre diff (LSD) on my K2 for the first time and found that if I tighten the four pinion screws to the diff case quite tight but not too tight the whole diff felt stiff and lumpy when turned by hand. I backed off the screws a bit and things smoothed out. Is this normal? I'm worried now that I will now loose diff oil as the screws are not as tight as I would have liked. Has anyone else found this same situation? The card gasket is in place.

My friend has had this similar problem with his OFNA GT LX buggy. When he filled up his center diff with lube, he tightened the screws down tight. He also had slight binding. However, when he backed out a little, it worked just fine. However, he did not suffer any leaks from his center diff. Try backing out little by little until you smooth it out.

Yup had a big problem with my front TCD but I just needed to buy a new diff case and tighten the screws down slowly until they hold the spur on, not bind the gears and not leak. When I tightened too much I didn't realy strip the case but I wasn't taking any chances.
