RE: CEN fun factor ATX

well, what engine is in it? If it is 1/8.... you want a .21 or higher... 1/10.... .12 or higher. Some high end .18 are really nice in the maxxes and all... I saw a vid of a guy with a .40 in his.... so I dunno... anything is possible

RE: CEN fun factor ATX

It has a .16 in it, would going with a .18 and getting an upgraded pipe give me noticable power? And would going with a .18 be a custom job or will it drop right in? thanks a bunch.

all depends, take your engine mount to your LHS, if that's where you are getting it, then match it up... yes that would give you a majer notice in power, however, I would reccommend swapping your steering servo to a HT servo too... good luck, post some pics too!

Hello Hot_Carl,

You may be better off posting this question at the "Monster Truck" section of RCU. The CEN Funfactor ATX is very similiar to the Funfactor MT & MT2. In fact, I bought an ATX & modified it to a MT2 with bigger tires & smaller pinion.

You can drop a .21 in the MT2, so I see no reason why the same cannot be done to the ATX. Several people at the "Monster Truck" section have done it. This is the 1/8th Scale Buggy section & the ATX being a 1/10th truck, people may not be as familiar about this truck.

Do you now why my CEN atx Buggy steering servos are weak and hardly turn?

RE: CEN fun factor ATX

Because fun factors are rubbish.
I had one and got rid. You can buy a better servo and put it in but take it out and put it in your new car when you sell it (which you no doubt will). I recommend getting a Sanwa 94359z but they're very expensive. If your on a budget look at the towerpro MG995 or bluebird as your buggies not so great anyway.
