Nova Mega
 

My lhs were out of Rex p5 carbs so they gave me a nova mega carb for $110.00. Is this a good carb and a good price? I haven't used it yet so if it is a bad carb I can still return it.

thats a total rip off... $110 for a carb!!! go on ebay and get a carb...

Nova Mega is manufactured by Novarossi as well, so the carb should fit as long as the neck is the same size. However, Nova Mega is more designed towards onroad racing which could have some different designs which you cannot see. Price wise, I think its ex but not unreasonable as that the norm at LHS. Personally, I will not use a carb design for onroad in P5. My 6 cents.

The venturi sizes are different for onroad and off - at least most of the time.. That would most likely be the only difference - maybe the material too (if its a composite carb or an all metal carb)
