What's your price and do you want to build or not to build that is the question? William Shakespear 21st century

it would be nice to find a rtr but if it comes down to building i can do it.

RE: witch is the best

go with the Hyper7...(there is both a rtr, and kit version)

personally, building is the only way to go... it gives time to fall in love w/ your car, and it gives a feel for what makes the car tick, what it can and cannot handle; and of course allows you to fix the buggy when (not if) it breaks.

the kits how much dose it cost for the hyper and also i would need an engine and servos correct??

RE: witch is the best

if you get a kit you're looking at upwards of $700+ depending on radio equipment. most RTRs will require a better servo($80-100) and you'll eventually want FM. the engine will cost about $130-150 if you get a pullstart version which will be cheapest to start. i got the hyper 7 pbs from www.rc-mushroom.com which comes mostly assembled except the shocks and wheels, comes with a hyper .21 8 port pullstart engine, and no radio equipment. the buggy will cost about $420 or so i believe after shipping from hong kong and then electronics and starting supplies will be another $300 or so if you get the good stuff which you might as well do the first time. i got a 3PM, hitec hs5945 steering servo, hitec 635hb throttle/brake servo, and stuff like glow plugs, fuel, fuel bottle, glow igniter, and whatnot to start it out. make sure you go over and loctite (blue) all metal to metal contacts or you will start losing screws quickly.

But the spares are impossible to get hold of. The Lightning is nice but the .26 is not race legal and the diffs have issues.

speed demon 00009 09-29-2004 05:52 PM

RE: witch is the best

i wasnt going to race it. do you own one and whats wrong with the diffs. is there after market options yet?
