Problem with jumping
When I land from a jump my engine cuts out, it is not from the flywheel hitting the ground I have tested by dropping to car so it bottoms out when it is idling and the engine doesn't cut out. It was happening at the track and now on grass.

RE: Problem with jumping
Can you elaborate a little more. Fuel system leak allowing air to come in? Worn out engine? Throttle position on landing? Idle set too low. Incorrect needle settings. Etc....

RE: Problem with jumping
do you land perfectly flat. try and land so it is a bit nose high and tell us wht happens then we will be 100% sure if it isn't the flywheel.
it could be that your clutch is not setup right and when you land your wheels for a moment will bind your engine and cause it to stall this would rarly happen and if it did you should have not clutch. |
RE: Problem with jumping
..check the clearence between ur flywheel..and ur rear break caliper...on my eb4 if i didnt have my engine lined up perfectly..that would happen..the slight flex of landing would kill my engine..
also..sometimes as an engine wears out..the die from the shock of landing |
RE: Problem with jumping
My rex p5 is perfectly tuned and is 1/2 a gallon old.The clutch was bought new with the engine. It happens when I land at partial throttle, I have never had this problem before and have been to the track many times.

RE: Problem with jumping
I think I have 1/2 way solved the problem I took out the aluminum center diff. mount, this seemed to help a lot.Now I have to work on tuning the engine.
