hi, when I hit full throttle the car will accelerate and sometimes it will stall, at the moment the car is running really rich and drinking fuel and is very smokey at full throttle. I don't now which needle to tweak so can someone please help.

best way to set it is -start by pinching the fuel line about 2 inches up going into the carb and it should die after 4 to 5 sec. it is hard to explain because it takes a trained ear but, just count for starters. then the bottom should be set. then set the top for temps you can start at about 3 full turns out from closed on top. then get it up to about 230 or 250. it should smoke but not too much. if it seeems to baug out- lean the top out in 1/8turns. remember it is always better to run it FAT -rich first...

my best advise, ive own five stock nitro cars, 2 trucks 2 buggys and a buggy converted to a street.........it always seems to me, to just get the buggy running, set high speed screw- slowly gently tighten up, and then loosing it 3 complete turns, then set the low speed needle- turn gently and slowly all the way in dont force, turn 5 complete turns out......this way is usually enough to get a fair running, and starting engine.......then do the pinch test like the last post was talking about, remember, Investing in slightly more fuel a month is better then investing in new engine parts when you damage the engine..........lots of smoke is good, means not burning off all the oil, letting some left unburnt, means more oil lubricating the parts.......try to keep engine low idle.....keeping engine around 220-230 degrees, as the temp of most fuels are designed to burn profficient at 210-216, yes keeping engine running lower idles, and temps may not burn as speed demons would like, but remember other hobbies are for speed too, like i race quarter mile drag strips with my street bike.....enjoy this hobby, because i found no matter how many cars i get and invest into, i never like to let one go

3 turns, 5 turns out? This is all relative to your glow plug, fuel type and nitro percentage, pipe, Head Clearance, MOTOR, it's carb, fuel line, fuel filters, diffs etc.

Lean the LSN and HSN in 1/8th increments until you get your motor running how you want it. If its one of the Higher end Italian motors 220-300 degrees is just fine for it.

I tried the fuel line pinch test and the engine shut off in about 1 to 2 secounds. what does this mean. Also today I was running my car and right before the tank ran out of fuel the performance became really good and it didn't stall.

LEAN all your needles in small increments. Except the MSN. dont touch the MSN.

All very good. The pinch method was descrided wrong btw. But WHAT ENGINE ARE WE TAKING ABOUT HERE?

Yes the basics are the same but they all have their quirks when it comes to tuning.

OK 1mm gap in the throat, 2.5 turns out from closed on the HSN and 3 turns out on the LSN. 25% Nitro, RB 6 plug and a nice clean and oiled filter, That'll get her running
