Quick diff oil question
Hi gang,
I have just recently recieved a OFNA Ultra MBX Pro (used - Ran twice) and I really want to convert it to electric. The diffs are filled with grease from the factory, I'd like to replace the grease with diff oil. I am aware that it varies with track conditions, but what is a good start for a person who likes a bit of oversteer? Also, what is a reasonable offer for a used (Again two runs) Ofna Force .21 p4? |
RE: Quick diff oil question
that all depends on wether you are running on dirt or hard surface.. Diff oils wont help over steering.. You can change your EPA on the radio to make your steering feel smoother. Also check if you have 17 , 20 or 22 deg c hubs ? if they are 17 id suggest changing them to 20 or 22 , that makes steering smoother.
Diff oils id say for off road use 7K front 10k center 2k rear .. this should give you more front pull for dirt if youre going on road i would go 5K front 6k center 4k rear .. this will give more even drive on high grip surface |
RE: Quick diff oil question
i just put some of the badhorsie.com "locking grease" in my center diff. I only ran it on the street, but it seems to do a wonderful job. Its a super sticky grease that slows your diffs better than any of the diff oils. Gives it a LSD feel. most of the time im spinning front and rear at the same speed. i still have only the stock grease in my front and rear diffs so they still spin free so turn in isnt affected.

RE: Quick diff oil question
Thanks for the suggestions, My buggy doesn't have C hubs, it is Pivot ball front with little pre-load type spacers to adjust caster. I think you misunderstood about oversteer, I like it.
