WIll the motor need a breakin if it hasnt been used in a while

RE: Tuning

No break-in required, just set the needles.

I would take the back plate and cooling head off the engine and clean out old oil and fuel to make sure nothing is gummed up inside. I use WD-40 to dissolve old nastyness and then use a light oil to lube it up. After run oil or ATF oil works fine.

so basically take off the head and back plate and spray it with wd-40, tip the motor upside down to remove the wd40 and the gunk. Then put some after run oil in and put it back together.

Yup. That's what I would do if the engine has been sitting a long time.

Change the glow plug too, it may have a layer of gunk on it that may have erroded it a bit. Check air filter to make sure that there is enough oil there and make sure to spray carb o-rings to assure that moving them may not rip/tear them from sitting a long time.
