WS7II and Prospec combo!!!

1 Attachment(s)
I just got my second WS7II from www.RCBoca.com for my mugen mbx-5 prospec. This motor is unbelievable, it pulls all through the range and just flyes. I would highly recomend this combo to racers and bashers alike. Here are some pictures of my buggy.

i have had 3 ws7II's and i didnt like any of them.....they seem more like a top end motor than anything....didnt suit my driving style at all/.....i like power on tap when ever i need it without hesitation....

nice looking buggy though

moto you probably didnt have the right pipe/header combo and clutch setup, this engine by far is the most picky engine i have ever had when it comes to those things but once you get it right it is an awesome engine. i wouldnt not want any more lowend out of this engine it spins the tires easy enough as it is and i can clear our tripples in a tiny runup space like 3ft from a dead stop

i know some guys like em....as far as pipe and header combo i pretty much tried em all.....i had the best luck with the ofna 063 pipe....the motors were very durable.....and your right they asre very picky motors.......i run medial pro jp mod motors now...and also a v spec.....the medial pro motors are deff over powered for most technical tracks and the v spec well the v pec just runs good...i never have any issues with the v spec or my medial pro's they all 3 hold a tune very well......

when i first got my WS7II, i used the mugen composite shoes with 1.1 springs. i am now using mugen aluminum shoes with 1.0 springs, and it is perfect.

zim i am running the same clutch setup i tried carbons but they sucked. also the rb long header and 063 pipe by rb is a nice combo for low end but lots of tp still

RE: WS7II and Prospec combo!!!

i am running a short header and nova rossi 086 pipe. what a beast. i had a strange problem a while back, where the motor mysteriously wouldn't run no matter what. i must have had 2 consecutive bad glow plugs, but the third one was the charm, problem solved. she is back to being a beast with about 3 1/2 gallons through her.

I love this motor my first one I have 9 gallons through it and still tons of compression. I just wish they got a little better gas milage. I can only seem to get about 6.5 to 7 min a tank and thats not the best but the power this beast makes makes up for gas milage

hi on my s7 not worlds, i can get bit over 9.5minutes before the tank is dry... just do a little bit of port work to the sleeve ;)

and RBs (and novarossi's) are definitly the longest lasting engines for sure!

Yeah the WS7 is a great motor it gets you around all those hackers!!LOL KGB1024. My Mugen runs better with the flux capacitor tuned at negative 3 to reach 88 mph.

I too have just put one of these in my Hyper, had a problem with the carbon clutch and standard springs but I put a Fastrax alloy ( Blue ) clutch in it with the 1.1mm springs, RB pipe/manifold and this thing rocks, i thought my Hyper 8 port was quick but this thing just lights my pro vegas on the spot, love it.

Just got to find some more better suited tyres lol.

I also use the Mugen aluminium clutch with 1mm springs and the 063 pipe. I can't complain about bottom end, really. Watch [link=http://www.snviper.ch.vu]my videos[/link] to see the insane power it puts out. I do have gas mileage problems too though. I'll try a smaller carb inlet at the next race, and maybe it won't run out of fuel 1 meter before the finish line again. [:o]

PS: JP Engines are made by Novarossi as well.

RE: WS7II and Prospec combo!!!

I would like to try a RB ws7II but I’m a little worried. I dont want to spend $300 bucks and then be disappointed. I am running a crono RS5, also have had a P5T and both engines pulled a couple different ws72 off the line, now my question is, do you think that was just there setup(clutch/pipe/tune/fuel) with the ws7 or will a P5 pull off the line all day long no matter what??? I have not seen one engine that has as much grunt down low as a rs5 or P5.

Is there anyone that has had both engines give me there feedback on them??

Raw power????Ws7II with 1.1 springs and mugen black shoes you won't be disappointed. P5 is a great motor too, lots of low end grunt. WS7II has power all through the range.
I have 2 gallons through this new motor and its just coming alive. Both are great mills...
