Difficult question to answer. If you're after horsepower, pure and simple and into statistics, you'll find that the OS VZB V-spec is right up there...at 2.5HP at 33000, it's a beast, but some would say that other engines with lower horsepower are faster, because of differences in the powerbands which make them more or less useful on different surfaces/track layouts. The REX/TOP/Rossi P5 has tons and tons of low end torque for smaller tracks and is reasonably priced if that's what you're after.

To give a direct answer to your question, I would have to say the Axe Rossi LSK .21. They say it's totally uncontrollable in the hands of all but the best drivers, it'll set you back some 600 bucks though.

Rossi LSKs set us back about $420us in north america last time I checked.

Really!?!? Distributor prices surely....list price in most places I checked was around $625 +/- 10%, but that was a few months ago...

There's that Rossi Black Magic thing as well, that's silly money, but I don't know anything about it, must be pretty hot for the cash they're asking for it...

I might have to get one just for a laugh at christmas with the old christmas bonus....3hp must be f'ing insane...wonder what the low end torque is like...?

RE: The MOST powerful .21 engine?

The vspec was dynoed at almost 3hp, I dont think it would be any faster then that.

the os vspec is an amazingly powerfull engine. But becarefull when you buy as some of the engines have been reported to be a bad bach.

RE: The MOST powerful .21 engine?

i drove a Vspec the other day & wasn't really impressed with its out & out power[:o]
it is a nice engine to drive with a very linear delivery & a smooth curve but it wasn't an animal by any means:eek:

you just need to get an engine thats used by the top guys where you race as that shoud be recommendation enough;)

i have heard from a few peole though that the absolute daddy is the RB Mods modified Crono RS Race 7 port Turbo[X(]

RE: The MOST powerful .21 engine?

RB mods do great things to motors. I have a RB modded os.12 cv-r that FLY"S!!! I was impressed how much better the engine is from stock.

JP B5's are good, Crono's and Novarossi's. So many to choose from.
But my favorite engine is the Nova Rossi S421BNXmod for $429. Or even the S421B for $349 isn't too bad.

Oops, forgot links....Here at [link=http://nitrohouse.com/eng,_nova_rossi.htm]Nitro House[/link]

RE: The MOST powerful .21 engine?

Theres a .21 factory racing engine by serio. We had 2 in the shop once and priced at $700 per motor including header and pipe. I didn't look at the specs but it can bet $100 it wasn't less than 3.5hp and I would at all be surpised if it was close to 4hp. The owner who got his running (the other hasn't tried yet and both have more money then sense of what there doing) said the power was insanly uncontrolable. Instant and explosive throttle responce if the carb is opened only about 1-2mm and it just keeps shredding the tires all the way through the rpm range as you pull more throttle... he never hit top speed and hes only nailed full throttle once of which he lost control (of corse he isn't the best driver in the world either). If you see a serio factory sponsored racer running a serio motor... thats more than likley the one.

To put one of the top engines in a Inferno sports (if it's stock) must be equal to put a Ferrari engine in a Fiat.

RE: The MOST powerful .21 engine?

all of the above engines blow compared to the medial pro m3k...it is a jp modded p5 built to team medial pro specs...it is a bad mother priced around 450.00.......its not quite as good as the m2k but you cant buy those anymore the other cool thing about the m3k is it comes with no visible markings on the motor leaving most people to guess wht it is your running in that thing....i usualy tell people its a ofna 8 port

I just took out my OS VZ-B V-Spec and replaced it with the new RB C5BB and dear mother of god that thing tears *****! This engine has seen break in (heat cycled it) and tuning and it flies. I haven't had much exposure to a wide variety of engines but IMO this engine is a slayer.

Cheers[8D]

 I told you in my first post, dude....

Yeh, and what Engrose said, I hope that's not a stock 7.5? A 3hp engine will tear it to pieces...plus your brakes won't be good enough, etc. etc.

Do i need to replace anyting else in the inferno before i change the engine?

Its quite stock except for the hardened steel gearwheel.

What's the economy of it compared to the v-spec?

You don't need to change parts before putting a top-engine into the sports, but you must be prepared to change a lot of parts after you've done it. The difference in torque and power between the stock engine and your new one will put a lot of strain on the drivetrain. But if you really want to take advantage of a good engine, then you should at least have some really good servos and a decent radio.

RE: The MOST powerful .21 engine?

Clutch will be the first to go, and you should definitely look into some kind of brake upgrade...
