Like I previously said: You like to make life difficult for yourself!

That engine is used. It has been pinched, but that is no guarantee that it will run properly.

And a pinched engine is nothing like a new one. All the internal parts have been around the clock at least once. Maybe more - it can be the second pinch for all you know[:@]

Don't do this - please.

Haven't we heard that before - I'm sure that you will change your mind a few hundred times before you actually buy one;)

Go with the RB eco or even better, the OS RG.

Learn to drive and tune an engine, then next time you are ready to one of the wilder engines.

Just buy an engine already!!!!

Don't go used, don't go with odd brands, don't go with a high $$$ engine. What do we have left? Well OS RG + RB ECO like we all said before.
Now you need to decide how to pay for this. Credit Card, PayPal, Money Order, Personal Check, Cash, Credit, Mortgage, Guns and ammo. Woah! This can take forever!!!!

j/k
;)

I used to think that too. Amazing how you can be so wrong after 26 years with these things.

Ben you give us all some good laughs - but if you have so much trouble finding money to buy even an OS RG or a RB Eco, then you simply don't have the funds to drive such a car as a buggy. It is an expensive hobby and the running costs make the initial investment seem small.

DOnt wory, i have a paper round, earning money isnt the problem, i have a steady income.. I just need to save to buy an engine.

life is tough. Im going with a rb eco as after my thinking of getting a high end engine, people told me not to get a high powered one. I was about to save up for a ws7 2 or a sirio kanai evo 2.

Thanks people for your help but I have decided to go with the rb eco as it is cheapish and easy to tune.

good call - now we just gotta see if you wil SERIOUSLY stay with that! :D

A friend of mine is also on a pretty tight financial budget and he just bought an RG. That thing has gobs of low end and can nail the demanding parts of the track with ease. It really surprises me how awesome that little engine is for its price. I still wouldn't even think twice if the price was above 150.

Those Crono's are sweet little engines. I've heard of finicky tuning problems with the RS7, but the RS5 seems pretty solid and is definitely quick. Seems to lack a bit more on the top end vs other high end 5 ports but keeps up without a problem in the rest of the powerband. Honestly I've never even heard of an RS3 - this is a first for me. I would think that thing has a butt load of low end grunt - but again, buying used really isn't a good idea unless you know for sure what your buying is alright. Like buying an engine from someone at your shop that you've seen run and the guy is pretty experienced with tuning.
