Changing Buggies
Hey, I'm thinking of changing my hong Nor X1-CR that i won the championship with at my local club. I have looked at a number of buggies. I have already had a Thunder Tiger EB4 S3, a lightning pro. so i dont want them again. i was looking at the Swift 2 pro. It looks pretty good and is real good value for money. i was asked to if would race an Xray XB8. Have you any idea's

RE: Changing Buggies

|
RE: Changing Buggies
forgot to say how come you sold the s3 or have you got it still;)
|
RE: Changing Buggies
if you won with it it must be good so why dont you keep it?
|
RE: Changing Buggies
get an XB8, Hands down best buggy ever....get upper front control arms and rear lowers for spares......and buy the front chassis brace.....the universals last 4 times longer than any MIP CVD I've used.....I ran a center diff bone dry over a gallon and the gears were still good.......

RE: Changing Buggies
Why do you want to change the Jammin - is it so good that it's boring??
|
RE: Changing Buggies
man if you are winning a championship with youre current buggy and its working good for you then stick with it. buying new buggies wont make you any faster. driving against better drivers make you faster. but if you whant to spend youre money the xray is a nice choise.

RE: Changing Buggies
The only cars that would be an upgrade to the one you have are the Mugen mbx5, the TTR (which you said you don't want), the Kyosho 777sp2, and the XRay...personally, I'll be looking at an Xray soon. You wouldn't enjoy the swift I don't think, if you are used to an X1. By the way, I have heard (and after some research, I believe it) that the RD Logics Sho is a great buggy. Even if it does have a stoopid name. It's very cheap and a good racer, so they say. If you wanted to take a chance on something cheap, that might be a good bet...

RE: Changing Buggies

ORIGINAL: young lightning Hey, I'm thinking of changing my hong Nor X1-CR that i won the championship with at my local club. I have looked at a number of buggies. Have you any idea's 3 racers at my track switched to the X-ray and have been increasing there lap times after getting it dialed in. |
RE: Changing Buggies
The XB8 hands down has the most adjustments out of any buggy and is the easiest buggy to make those adjustments on really letting you fine tune the handling. I've only heard great things about this buggy and someone at our local track has one that I only saw him run once because he runs the lap counter now but even with the box stock settings aside from diff and shock oil it was one of the smoothest buggies I've seen run. Its deffinatly an upgrade from the jammin and will let you fine tune the buggy to fit your driving style and cut down your lap times.
When your as good of a driver as lightning sounds or in the pro ranks really they all know how to push their equipment to the very limits and the only way they can go faster is by having a buggy that will let them drive it faster. |
RE: Changing Buggies
Thanks for all the replys, I think i'm gonna stick with the Hong Nor [sm=thumbup.gif] because it was so good to me last year. The only thing i broke was a front whishbone which was entirely my fault, i thought i could take the corner a bit harder, [&:]did'nt work. There is a fella that races at my track and he has an Xray and he loves his.
