The Bergonzoni 1/8 buggy has been around for some time , but this is their new model. it's got a couple things on it that are pretty cool and new. Check out the pivot ball suspension on the rear as well as the front. the chassis braces look good and the fuel tank looks like it hovers over the center driveline a little. Also........check out the typical one legged rear wing mount . this is a pretty nice looking buggy , i wonder how it performs?

P.S...........check out the size of that rubber elbow for the air filter......looks like it came off of a VW BUG!!

Ineresting, I've had the Flash and the Blast, and I might have to add this one to the list.

in my opinion it dont look very well designed to me look at that wing stay, single wing stay post? rear pivotball type suspension probley for toe in/out i dont know i would pass on that.

Me either. That air filter is two attachments on there. One, which is the same from my OS (connects to the carb itself) then some extension going to the element. Doesn't look like they did a lot to that buggy, looks tacky.

I liked my Bergonzoni Flash and Uraguay Blast too. I bet the new one works well.
They make some of the best diffs on the PLANET.

Bergonzoni's are very well known buggies. the Blast, and especially the Uruguay were both top-notch buggies, still are IMO, and I run Mugen...lol. Get ahold of Maxy Velasco (Maxy Fuels)...he'll be able to get ya hooked up;)

And your right about his diffs, some of the best on the planet, not to mention the lifetime warranty:D

their website is www.bergonzoni.it
I hope your browser has a translator ;)

The fuel tank hanging over the drive shaft only raises the center of gravity, all of the turn buckles are thin, the single wing post will probably break after a few hits, the front suspension arms are very long which will let them break easier, that bulg will do absolutly nothing for air flow because it shrinks back to normal size at the carb mouth anyway, and if it has all of this wrong with it who knows what else there can be. It doesn't look bad but you can deffinatly buy better.

Jeffro,

Thanks for the pics... I kinda like that thing. Some really interesting stuff. Check out how compact the front and rear suspension assemblies are. Very tight design. And take a look at the center diff assembly. That diff looks like its right there. Very minimalist design... The rear wing...hmmm
Would it hold up to a 50mph flip and rip? dono.. But man...... Its pretty trick. Looks like they are trying to get the fuel tank more centered over the center axis of the car. Playing with the ole center of gravity are we? That air filter pecker has got to go...

I'd like to take it for a weekend.

The thin tie rods and single wing post is Bergonzoni's signature. I have never broken my wing mount or tie rods. In fact I bought a used Flash and that buggy ran strong and never had to replace any parts. Diffs are BULLETPROOF hands down. In fact that only thing I ever broke was the gas tank, and that will happen to anyone that runs into PVC pipe full on.

Bergonzoni aint for everyone, but never the less its a excellent buggy.
