Which engine should I buy
I know this question has been asked before. However, I did read up on the previous posts. I am considering the Kanai Evo-2, Novarossi Plus 21-5, Ninja, and P5. I would like some opinions as to which of these engines would be best. Track is fairly tight with only one straight. Also, I want an engine that will last (this is very important)

RE: Which engine should I buy
Either of the P5's and you will be happy. The NR last forever and make power.

RE: Which engine should I buy
the c5 is a great motor but ive heard from some pro drivers that the new ninja's are just plain sick!!!

RE: Which engine should I buy
I'm tempted by the Ninja, but right now i run a JP FX B5 and it hauls ass!
i really don't see how you can make a 5 port engine run much better than this one i've got like 5 gallons in it and there's practicaly no wear at all. A friend of mine got a sirio evo 2 and the crankshaft had a lot of play right out of the box an his carb gave him all kinda problems... i would say get the Plus 21-5 it's the newest engine and i've hered nothing but good things about it. the ninjas aren't really available yet so if you're in a rush you gotta cross that one off. |

RE: Which engine should I buy
is the ninja faster than the RBC5 ? I've heard that the C5 or C6 have great power, but how is the top end ? better than the 21-5 plus

RE: Which engine should I buy
I think the C5 C6 is the most powerful .21 engine available. The Novarossi 421B is also awesome it has mega bottom end and insane power all the way through the power band. The JP FX21 is a lot calmer, It has a smooth powerband and is easier to control and ideal for tecnical tracks.
The point I'm making is somtimes you can have too much power, as it is harder to control. |

JP FX21's are powerhouses whether they are stock or mods. |

RE: Which engine should I buy
Im new to buggies, just built my first one, had help from other here on the board. I went with the RB C5bb engine in the ofna hyper 8. Being new to buggies, its hard to say what engine is better. I do know that I catch every buggy on the track on the straights, I just flip and tumble on the jumps. Everyone says its to much power for one to learn on, but the way I see it, if one has never run a buggy, whos to say its to much.
All engines replied on in this thread are great engines, I see them all at my local track and cant see how one could go wrong with any of them. |
