differential{sp} problems......

Fixing My friends hyper 7 and the diff. cup was loose, letting the CVA fall out. so I tore down the diff. and got the cup fixed. then after getting it all together it seems to not spin as easly as it did before.?. so now the buggie will rev it's butt off and not get anywhere...any thoughts on this situation will be greatly appreciated...

What you may have done is built the diff backwards. This means the front wheels will push back wards and the back forwards (or vice versa) resulting in no movement of the buggy. I've done it before and I know a few others have too. If its not that then I don't know

Another possibility is the gears were not set all the way back in the right position when you put it back together. I put one back together and it wouldnt turn. When I took it back apart I found that one of the gears was not seated all the way in place.

I appreciate the replys.....but, it's not that it is'nt moving it's just real gooey, like there is silly puddy in it.?. the gears are all set correct. I didnt take the gears apart I just slid them out and the slid them back in. the 1st time I pulled it apart I forgot a washer and it was REALY tight. so I went back and put it back in... Man I'm freakin stumped..?.does it need more diff. grease?
