what buggy?

so im lookin for a buggy... i havent been into them for awhile now so i have no clue what to look for? ive got my lst in the for sale section in hopes of getting my hands on a nice buggy. but now ive gotten a few replies but i dont know whats good!! im in trouble.... my truck is easily worth $400 as a roller, so im expecting a similar level buggy. but i keep getting offers for models ive never heard of... they look nice, but if i dont see em on the manufacturers website i dont know what to do.. ofna is bad about that, they have too many different buggys..pcr this pro that, i have no idea..
someone offered me a jammin buggy, thats a good one right? looks nice. then theres a mdx pro, whats that? ofna doesnt show that... but it looks sweet!
people around here like the turmoil and mayhem, are they any good? as good as the jammin? how about a mbx 4?
help me with these decisions, im lost!!

RE: what buggy?

TTR EB4 S3. World champion. 777 sp2, a proven winner. Jammin X1-CR, top quality. Mugen MBX-5, another proven winner. Hyper 8 - these can be really dialed. Losi 8ight, has done really well in the races. Those would be the ones I'd look for.

My choice of buggy in this range would be the Hyper 7 TQ, with that cash you'd be pretty fit for a decent setup straight away.

RE: what buggy?

how about a 9.5 mbx pro with all the carbon plates and torsen center diff? i think im gonna get one.. it lists for the same price as the hyper 7 pcr without the upgrades.
someone else told me its a super durable buggy also? im mostly bashing on a track! not really racing... so i need it to be tough.

RE: what buggy?

There was me thinking that the overpriced MBX5 was world champion. Never mind the press must have got it wrong, ALL OF THEM.

What??? Don't be a fool, you never read ANYWHERE that the Mugen was the world champion this year. At the 2006 ROAR% 1/8 Off-Road Nat's, Ryan Maifield won with a TTR and an OS. This is rather common knowledge, in fact there is like a 3 page thread on the OS engine's world's championship on RCU. There is a podium picture on pp 57 of the NOV edition of RCCA if you don't believe me.

Get a Mayhem. That way, you'll actually be able to hang with the rest of us. :D

Kyosho, Mugen and Losi buggies are the best. My buddies are always breaking parts, popping universals etc. with their Jammin's and Hypers.

Lets see how long it lasts trying to keep up with us on those 85ft + jumps! Should make for some pretty carbon fiber shrapnel.:)

At this point, seeing as how the .27 needs a piston and a sleeve, Jeff's .26 is walking the dog on me. Unfortunatley, the piston and sleeve is on backorder for a while, so it looks like I'm gonna have to be a tail gater....[&o]
