Hyper 7 electric conversion
We'd like to show you the Ofna hyper 7 brushless conversion we made:

Dont think the side guards will hold out long on the biggies, having a pound of battery on each they'd better be reiforced. You may need to get the Alloy posts for the steering servio as 3 plastis may not be enough. And I still don't like Nitro chassis' being converted to electrics. |

Packs are 85$ each, you need two.
Motor is 210$ ESC is 180$ |

We tried it today on pavement, it's incredibly fast!! Much more power than with the .28 engine.
My friend used three tanks of nitro in his Jammin and the electric hyper was still going strong, that's about 25mins of run. Motor/ESC where cool and the packs recharged 2600mAh, so the buggy can run for 30min if we use 80% of the total capacity. That leave place for lighter, smaller 2200mAh packs and still keep run time over 15 mins. |

Electric is fast has instant power but just does not have any solo. But this is just me and nice job on the Hyper.
What sort of surface where you running on? Now run the two on thinck grass and see how long each one will run. |

We tried it in grass, this time against a baja 5b. Top speed of both vehicles on grass was the exact same, the baja had the advantage of size, but the hyper could brake and corner better. Run time wasn't affected enough to see a difference, still over the 30mins mark and the lipos weren't even near depletion.

what is the weight is it lighter or heavier than your friends jammin?

The hyper weight 9lb a bit lighter than the jammin, but heavy for a buggy. After switching to 2200mAh batt. and adding a UBEC in place of rx pack, the buggy should be at 8lb. That's just about the same weight as the nitro version.

if you left the radio plate as it was and left the throttle servo in with the breake linkage just take off the throttle linkage and run a y lead from the the reciver to the esc to servo you got brakes sorted

We just used the ESC brakes feature, save tons of weight and work pretty good.
