engine port and polish

ok, we've all heard about porting our motors at some stage, i've had people telling me "yes do it" and i've also been told "no, that'll ruin your motor". what do you guys think?, does anyone have special guidlines they follow?

It looks like you run RB's... well IMHO you don't need to modify, port, or polish these engines... they have an engine for every possible power band you want... if you want all out power get the C6BB that will be more than you can probably control in any buggy. Personally in my buggy I prefer the power of the S5 because I am able to control the power much easier and actually run better lap times with it than I do with my WS7II or C5BB

RE: engine port and polish

Hi,

Polishing the outside of the sleeve should do no harm but never do this to the button, piston and inside of the sleeve. Polishing means taking material away slighty. This effects a lot to the compression rate and definitely round out some edges which should not be.

Joaquim
