Need some help.....

I am looking at picking up a 1/8th scale nitro buggy. I am not looking for a race ready buggy, mainly what I am looking for a decent basher buggy without breaking the bank.

Here are the three that I am looking at:

[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLTL4&P=7]Ofna Ultra Comp 2[/link]
[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAXV1&P=ML]Ofna Ultra MBX[/link]
[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLNC0**&P=ML]Duratrax Raze[/link]

Please let me know if you have had any experience or have any input on which buggy would be better for a basher and why.

Thanks in advance,
Lee

Your best bet is to head to www.nitrohouse.com and get the Ofna Hyper 7 PBS RTR for $300 while it's on sale for Christmas time... it usually retails around $400 and is very very strong. In the right hands it could do alright racing as well.

RE: Need some help.....

Have a Ultra LX and a MBX and they are both excellent. Only 1 issue with my LX and it was my fault. I broke the steering knuckle by hitting a tractor tire planter at WOT. I have beat the piss out of them both and NEVER had any issues except the aboved mentioned. Full of power, handle excellent, easy to maintain and the Force .26 hold a excellent tune forever.

I had a Dutratrax Evader Nitro and if the Raze is anything like it in quality then I wouldnt touch it with a 10 foot pole. The Evader is a steaming pile of donkey dung. Major Diff problems and w patheticly weak motor. The Evader put a very bad taste in my mouth when it comes to Duratrax.

Also have 2 Ofna GPX4's onroads and they rock along with a Mutilator. Ofna and Traxxas are the best built/most dependable RC's IMHO.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I have decided to go with the Ofna MBX buggy since there is not much difference between it and the Ultra Comp LX other then the electric start and the airtronics radio gear which I like.
