Dont listen to that nonsense there are some very durable great rtr's out there I have the turmoil rtr and its a great buggy I also have a HPI savage rtr and an evo rtr there is nothing wrong with rtr"s.RTR's are for people who have lives outside of the hobby like a house to pay for maybe a car some kids to feed you know the average joe who cant justify 1000$ on a kit. If your just bashing go with an rtr like the turmoil you will be more then happy if you are going to race spend a bit more and buy a kit!!!

if your new to the hobby get a rtr, there realy is no nead to go spending a fortune on a top flight buggy there are a few decent ready to runs out there but in my opinion the best deal in the uk at the moment is probably this.

decent chassis decent engine and a very good radio for a rtr.

don't fall for all the buy a kit because rtr fall apart nonsence your gonna hear its just not true.

Kits come with many hop ups out of the box. I do not do RTR as you end up spending more in the end then starting with a kit. I all have a Savage, Hyper 8 and HPI MT among others and all started as a kit. I recommend you do some series comparison and you will see. Most RTR radio systems and servos are VERY POOR as well. You all so learn a lot about the vehicle by putting it together. If you want the best start with a good kit!!!! :D If have any mechanical ablates kits are easy to build.

alota people say buy kit even if youre new. i personally think its a good idea to know how to get it to work. aslong as you go slow its quite easy to put together just read the manual, also kit you normally need radio gear and occasioanally an engine, normally its with top class kits eg mugen losi 8 etc.

RTR's still require a bit of work before getting them going.

If you do go the RTR route and are still fairly new to the hobby, i recommend picking up XRC's february 07 issue. They have a ready to run checklist that everyone should follow. And how convenient, it came right after xmas!
