Ok, hopefully were right, becuase one time I spent hours trying to figure out if the towers on there site were the right one becuase it had the right part #'s and everything but they werent milled, turn out when they took the pic it was just filled onto the non-milled side :). its nhappned to my firends on this site before, andthere trying to keep form doing it. So if you call OFNA and they give you the same part # its probably the same situation.

I would recommend this one:

http://www.stsmicroengines.com/index...e3fae734d86b92

I went from the mach .28 to this one and the buggy is faster and uses less fuel. It is also race legal with the .21. The STS D21B is a really great engine.

Around that price range there are much better engines. you wanna keep it /21 becuase there race legal, and there nothing you casn put into a buggy thatw ill beat a race.21. you could get an RB S5, or S7 (get the S5 if youve got a medium track, S7 if your tracks a bit more open), but really one of the best values in that rpice range that few people run is the Hot Mod Novarissi N21B is one of the best values for .21 engines. Youy get an already awesome budget motor thats been modded, stock it already has a whole lot of torque, but lacks a little top-end comapred to more expensive race motors, but after the mods this thing gets awesome mileage, and the modding really opens up the tope-nd alowwing this thing to scream.

yea, i need somethin to get me up and over jumps coming right out of a turn. there is only really one strait away and one little strait to gas it up, but other than that, i need quickness and grunt to get it around. the mach 28 just dont have it.

Are the shock towers your talking about machined, black, and have pcr on them? I have the pcr front plate and drag link and this is how they are.

First you will need to replace the grease in the diffs with 5000 in the front, 7000 in the center and 3000 in the back.

Hey man are you being serious? i got the RTR model so surely the diffs are pre-greased?
Thanks for your answers

They are greased but you will want to put proper diff oil in them. 5000 in front, 7000 in the center and 3000 in the rear... or whatever folks at your track recommend.

Oh right cool thanks, also i have not started the car yet as i hear i should get a few spare glow plugs 1st for the run in period?

And it seems as if my breaks are not connected, as i say i havent started the car yet but iv tested the electrics, when i roll the car forward and push the throttle the car stops as i would expect from the clutch engaging, but when i push back the brakes do not slow it at all, you cant feel a difference it just rolls still. I cant think of a reason why the brakes would need the engine running or am i just being a noob?

Thanks again for all your advise dudes
Aaron

RE: OFFICIAL HYPER 7 THREAD

Sounds like you just need to reverse the throttle direction on the transmitter, its a switch. Pulling the trigger (accelerating) should NOT slow the car down. The clutch is centrifugal, only when the engine picks up a certain amount of RPM will the clutch engage. Pushing the trigger forward should activate the brakes. Like I say, there's two switches on the transmitter for this, one to reverse steering, the other to reverse throttle.

Nice job man but don't let your wife see that on the kitchen table???????. Hey I was running my VTX ST-1 up down the street getting it set up for sunday and the rear diff blew, smoked, fried, dust , junk, wasted, Now I am pissed off this is ridiculous I think all of the money that I have put into this thing and the buying it at first, could have got a 8ight t RTR and made the up grades on the shock towers and had money for fuel.

RE: OFFICIAL HYPER 7 THREAD

I run the 50 wt in the front and 45 wt in the rear....I use the losi oils I find this is really good shock oil. it takes awhile for it to brake down and it's not to much $$$$$
