Hyper 8 vs. Hyper 7
OK...Im still trying to find a great RTR, so now its come down to the Hyper 8 RTR for $319 or the Hyper 7 PBS RTR for $379.
I assume the 7 is more expensive than the 8 because of the pivot ball suspension?? They both have .28 motors. Which would you choose of those 2 cars ?? |
RE: Hyper 8 vs. Hyper 7
Hyper 8 all the way. C-hub is much better than PBS (IMO) The Hyper 8 has a faster/tighter turning circle than the PBS, its a more modern design, stronger/better quality parts.
I had a Hyper 7 and it was a very very good buggy but the Hyper 8 is better. Also avoid RTR, much cheaper in the long run. Both buggies come with a rubbish AM radio and weak plastic servos, plus the .28 is not a race legal motor and its not that good anyway. |
RE: Hyper 8 vs. Hyper 7
I don;t know what the locals in your area are running but i have seen that the pbs ( i own one) is a great starter buggy . in the new rc car action their is a article about the jammin pbs upgrade i believe the pbs is making a come back . here where i live the ofna brand is not popular so parts are a litle hard to find so i would go to the local hobby shop and ask what would be your best option for your area.

RE: Hyper 8 vs. Hyper 7
hyper 8 if you can pay a little bit more up front, & you have a better resale value than hyper 7. I have a hyper 7(still) very happy. Its not the most sophisicated buggy, as its kind of old...but, good value and a good starter buggy.

RE: Hyper 8 vs. Hyper 7
Where do you find the Hyper 8 for 319$? At that price it's a no brainer which one to choose!

RE: Hyper 8 vs. Hyper 7
hyper 8 regardless of price. Hyper 8 most definately with a tag of 319!
