Break-In Bench... found one.

Just was searching around and found what looks to be a really nice break-in bench on RCScrewz.com, here is the [link=http://www.rcscrewz.com/product_info.php/tools-setup-stations/engine-break-in-bench/p/engine-break-in-bench/cPath/121_211/products_id/1590]link.[/link] It is like $140 dollars, but I just wanted to share it with yall. Do they actually work?

Ive never used one but i saw one for the first time working about 2 weeks ago and it looked promising......... i bet it works i would jsut be worried about how long a engine broken in like that would last............i personally wont use it till i see how well the engine runs they day i saw the break in we couldnt see the motor actually run on the track becuase the guy needed cluch bell bearings (i think) once i see it run after a few gallons i will problably buy one since im always needing to break in motors

it threory it should work 100% its takeing the same principal as breaking in a airplain or heli motor.......but still ide like to see the performance first before i buy one but if i like one i will 4SHO buy it.......look into the RD logics one i think its only 100 bucks that the one i saw beining used

How would that break in stand work for a buggy engine with a standard buggy pipe? I guess you would have to buy an inline header. A normal header used on a buggy wouldnt work cause that would make the pipe go where the fuel tank is. Also how do you start the engine? It looks like you couldnt fit a starter box in there cause the prop is in the way. You must have to grab on to that prop and spin it to fire it up like you would to an airplane engine lol.

they work well. much easier to make on the fly adjustments while you're running it in too easier to temp while ruinning in & you can control the process much better. they did a write up in RC car action last year, or the year before. there are ones made specifically for .21 buggy engines and pipes, it includes an L shaped header instead of the U shaped ones used on the buggy. if i had the spare cash i'd get one, instead i spend my money on tires & spares.

i use one of those on all my engines... works awesome...

It use a Airplane Nose cone starter, so it makes breaking in really tight engines a breeze.... As wellt he prop provides more load then a RC vehicle, so there is no risk of over revving the engine...

here is a motor broken in on the stand..this is my modded Picco 28

and that just changed my mind... when I get my Werks .21 I will definately be saving up extra for a break-in bench.
